I learned that Portland has a lot of really great 'local flare' and I need to spend a LOT more time here (NOT in a hospital).
I learned that making Trystan take a nap is a really bad idea. He was up until 4am last night.
I learned that crappy coffee is better than no coffee.
I learned that even though it's my favorite, pizza does get old.
I learned that changing the time to gain an hour really screws me up!
I learned that my sixteen year old misses his mama's cooking!
I learned that some people just don't give a damn who they hurt as long as they please themselves and they will probably never change.
I learned that I would rather be thoughtful and genuine than selfish and lonely.
I learned that I really want to find a rabbit hole.
I learned that I have really good friends. Some of them I see daily, some of them I talk to often, and some I just reconnected with after years but they are all wonderful and I love having them in my life. I am truly blessed and will never take it for granted.

I learned the same thing about pizza a couple of weeks ago. Ate it everyday for 4 days. Haven't wanted to look at a pizza since.
ReplyDeleteSarah, now is a good time to go to the Japanese gardens in Portland. Great place to relax and clear out the mind.
ReplyDeleteAs for bad coffee, I'll drink instant if I have to. I'll drink crap out of a machine at 7-11 if I have to. I agree, bad coffee is better than none!
Nobody's cooking can ever hold a candle to our Mom's! I think that's a universal truth.
ReplyDeletereally love this post idea!
ReplyDeletekeeping track of what you learned is an awesome way to track growth.
