Soul Food Monday!

I took some very valuable advice today.  My mother, my husband, the nurses... pretty much everybody has told me that I have to take some time to myself.  Take some time to spoil myself, do something that I enjoy, time away from Trystan... sounds easy enough doesn't it?  Then why has it taken me nearly three months to do it?  Other than once with my mom and once with the mister, I haven't left this hospital.

I called my friend (who is local to Portland) and asked her to "take me out on the town!"  We went to downtown Portland, walked around Pioneer Square, did some window shopping, saw Oz the Great and Powerful, and went to the infamous Voodoo Donuts!

I came back to the hospital feeling completely revived!  I missed Trystan, was ready to play and spend quality time with him, and know a few new things about this wonderful city!

I fed my soul with some quality time for me;  I reconnected with my best friend... me.  To tell you the truth, I really enjoyed her company!
