I want to play a game with you guys. I'd love to get some of you to answer these questions... come on, it'll be fun and I have to go first!
#1: Would you rather only read all but the last chapter of every book you read or only watch the last ten minutes of every movie you watch?
#2: Would you rather eat something completely disgusting or do something incredibly embarrassing in public?
#3: Would you rather write an awful book that is loved by millions while you are alive or write an amazing classic that is cherished by millions after your death?
#4: Would you rather live life unable to communicate your true feelings or live life unable to filter your feelings (good and bad)?
#5: Would you rather be trapped in a box with a mime or have to ride in a clown car with six clowns?
#6: Would you rather go back in time and meet your ancestors or go into the future and meet your great grandchildren?
#7: Would you rather have the memories of somebody that you loved and lost or not remember them?
#8: Would you rather believe in Hakuna Matata or YOLO?
#9: Would you rather vacation on a tropical island or a cabin in the mountains?
#10: Would you rather eat monkey brains or live crickets?
Sarah's Answers:
#1: Either of these would really irritate me so I guess I choose the last ten minutes of a movie. Books are so much more important to me than movies and I know that I would try to find a way to cheat and read the entire book!
#2: This is easy! I can't do disgusting foods... yuck! However, I pretty much have no shame. I would do something embarrassing in public any day over eating something gross.
#3: This one is easy as well. I'd much rather write a beloved classic than a terrible bestseller that is forgotten after it is read. I am probably going to upset a few of you right now but can we say, "Fifty Shades of Grey"? YUCK!
#4: Hmmm... I guess I'd rather live unable to have a filter. I would obviously suffer immediate consequences such as: black eyes, loss of friends, and coming across as promiscuous once in a while but I'd also be able to express love, loss, happiness, and pain honestly. Honest feelings would be worth the drawbacks of having a big mouth.
#5. Anybody who knows me knows that I am TERRIFIED of clowns and although I am not really that fond of mimes, I'd rather spend a Saturday evening in a box with one of them than get anywhere near a clown car!
#6: This is an interesting question, I guess I'd rather meet my great grandchildren. You can always study genealogy and find out who your ancestors were but you will never get the opportunity to meet your great grandchildren. It'd be very fulfilling to see who they resemble, their career choices, and their families.
#7: I would never give up my memories- even the painful ones. I didn't handle the loss of my grandmother very well and the memory of that point in my life haunts me to this day but the memories that I have of her are precious. I would not give them up for anything.
#8: Hakuna Matata! YOLO is lame.
#9: I think that I would rather go to a tropical island. I'd want to scuba dive, lay on the beach, and swim with dolphins.
#10. This is gross just to think about. I am definitely not good with gross. I guess if I have to choose, I'd eat the crickets. It's a texture thing; I think the monkey brains would be squishy and jello like.

I would definitely rather do something embarassing in public. I mean will said people ever see you again. :)
ReplyDeleteOh man would love to meet my great grand children.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'd rather love and lose than never remember.
I LOVE THESE THINGS... I answered this here: http://themiscellaneousmom.blogspot.com/2013/01/would-you-rather.html
ReplyDelete1-Movies...I love books, and that would be more painfiul!
ReplyDelete2-I agree, no disgusting foods, I would choose embarrassing in public After all after you have popped out a kid in front of 11 people, what is embarrassing?
3-Beloved Classic! But oh to be published!
4-I am the all about expressing emotions now girl. So for me it would be a nightmare to never be able to communicate feelings or emotion. I could however, work with no filter. I know people who get along just fine without one!
5-Clowns because I love to talk and laugh. I would just go to sleep with a mime, plus I don't know if we would both fit in a box1 Hah!
6-Can I do both? Nope, we have this game @ home, so I do know how to play! I suppose I will choose based on whether I am feeling like being seen as a young pup, or an ancient artifact! Ok, Ancestors win!
7-Alzheimer's is the cruelest disease around, and it runs in my family. So for me I would rather have the memories, they made me who I am.
8-Hakuna Matata! I agree, YOLO is a lame-a@# Jersey Shore wannabe tag line! Ugh!
9-Been there. DOne both. Have to say I prefer my own tropical island. Went to Atlantis Resort in the Bhamas for Honeymoon #1, on the company hubbie worked for at the time, and they rented us our own tropical island for the day! One of the best memories of my life! Plus with cabins, come bees and snakes! Ugh!
10-Neither! I am all about the food! I quit!

#1: Movie
ReplyDelete#2: Embarrassing in public
#3: Write an awful book that is loved by millions while you are alive (Twilight) enough said.
#4: Unable to filter feelings (good and bad)
#5: Ride in a clown car with six clowns
#6: Back in time
#7: Have the memories
#8: Hakuna Matata
#9: Tropical island
#10: Monkey brains
Holy cupcakes, those are tough ones.
ReplyDelete#1 I'd watch the films. Books are much better than any film can ever be.
ReplyDelete#2 Doing something embarrassing in public would be a breeze for me. I don't care what people think of me.
#3 I am dyslexic so writing any book would do me, but if I have to pick I'd go for the classic, because that would mean I really did get it right.
#4 I am a very emotional person, so I burst if I wasn't able to let a few out now and then, so I'd have to go for not having the filter... To be honest I'm pretty much there already.
#5 As a claustrophobic I'll take the clown filled car, because being trapped in a box with someone unable to talk me down from freaking out at being trapped would kill me.
#6 As I cannot have children there will be no great grand kids, so I'll go back in time and meet all the oldies.
#7 I'll go with loved and lost. I already have brain fog that makes me very forgetful and it is very frustrating, so I'd prefer the pain of remembering loss that the agony of not remembering loved.
#8 I find this one a bit difficult because Hakuna Matata basically means no worries and YOLO means You only live once, and both of those are things I strive for to not worry about the things I cannot change and to grab every opportunity that comes my way. If I have to choose I'd have to stick with grabbing every opportunity. I can work on not stressing about it afterwards.
#9 Mountain cabin would be my choice I think, because to stand on top of a mountain looking down on the world below you, with the wind blowing across your face, is the freest feeling in the world.
#10 I couldn't eat either. I'm vegetarian and have a strong belief in treating others as I wish to be treated. I don't want to get eaten thus I don't eat others.
