Human beings are so judgmental of the preferences of others.  If we were not judgmental, the terms:  homophobia, cougar, orgy, chubby chaser, pervert, and taboo would not exist.  The question is, why are we so judgmental of who or what others define as sexy?

What is it my business if you find Playboy sexually stimulating?  Why should I care if you prefer blondes over brunettes?  Why penalize your neighbor for having a wife and a girlfriend (as long as all three are aware of the situation), and who the hell cares if your preference is fat women over thin women?

Nowhere in any definition of sexy does it say that men can not prefer red heads over blondes nor does it say that it is not sexy for women to enjoy masturbation.  You see, dictionaries are very vague in their definitions of the word sexy for a reason.  The definition of sexy is vague because the things that human beings believe to be sexy are vague.  Everybody is different and we are all aroused and attracted to different things.

Until we can all let go of our judgment and allow others to lust and long for whatever or whomever they want (legally permitting), there will always be sexual discrimination and words like:  homophobia, sizism, slut, pervert, and taboo.

  7. I adore Dita Von Teese.

Also, personality plays a huge factor in sexiness. Like you said, good manners is crucial. Being sexy can mean a lot of different things to different people, but to me being sexy is feeling comfortable in my own skin and not trying to be someone I am not!

  8. I love your idea of sexy! I'd copy every single one of those- especially Paul Rudd. And I agree, there's a lot of judgement on such personal things, but I think that's knee-jerk nature. I think the trick is to teach yourself not to care. You can't change other people's feelings but you do have control over yours :)
